REFLECTION

At the beginning of the project, I honestly struggled to bring together different elements into a single, cohesive collage. I was limited to using just one magazine, which at first felt incredibly restrictive. With so few options to choose from, it was difficult to find pieces that matched in tone, theme, or visual style, and that made it really hard to build a clear story or message within the artwork.

To be real, this assignment took way more time and energy than I expected. I thought it would be a simple coloring process, but once I got into it, I realized how much patience it actually required. I had to slow down a lot just to understand how layering colors could create more natural effects. Every part needed careful attention and repeated steps. It got a little overwhelming at times, especially when colors spilled outside the lines or left patches untouched. That part was honestly the most frustrating. So, I ended up turning to YouTube tutorials and random tips online, hoping to find easier ways to clean up and improve my work. And slowly, with some trial, error, and help from those resources, I started getting the hang of it. It wasn’t just about making things look pretty, it taught me to be more patient and intentional with every stroke.
